Google Chrome for Linux will be released soon?

Google’s web browser Chrome has been released for more than 2 months, it’s a great shame for our Linux users because it’s for Windows only, and we had little news about its Linux version, which driven our non-windows Google fans crazy.

Cnet news editor Stephen Shankland recently got lots of emails asking when Google will release Chrome for Linux version, he’s a Google observer and passionate opensource projects supporter, and he’s anxious about it too, so he asked Google programmers.

Fedora 10 Preview released

Fedora team released Fedora 10 yesterday, this is the last beta release of Fedora 10, which the fianal will be released in Nov. 25th, 2008. The major improvements are included:

  • Wireless connection sharing enables ad hoc network sharing
  • Better setup and use of printers through improved management tools
  • SecTool is a new security audit and intrusion detections system
  • RPM 4.6 is a major update to the powerful, flexible software management libraries

RPM Fusion is a massive third-party repository with huge number of RPM packages that can’t ship with Fedora or RHEL due to legal restrictions and/or the packages don’t comply with free software licenses.
